College New Hires

Congratulations Bethany, Luke, and Mark!
Over the last two years, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Buffalo has been working to improve and diversify our recruiting efforts.  We have worked diligently to build relationships with community organizations and education facilities such as Erie 1 Boces and the State University of New York at Buffalo.  During 2011, we implemented our first applicant tracking system, Zartis.  This system gives us access to internet job search engines such as Indeed.com and has greatly improved our access to candidates.  With this additional exposure, Buffalo Coca-Cola has hired candidates from Michigan, Indiana and North Carolina over the past year.  Utilizing more traditional methods of recruiting, it is likely we would have not reached these candidates from other parts of the country.

We are now proud to announce our first new graduate hires that began in June.  All of these new graduates will be supporting our sales organization.  Two have completed internships with us over the last year and one is completely new to the organization.  Please join us in welcoming these new employees to the Buffalo Coca-Cola and ABARTA family.

Mark Manganaro was hired as an intern last Summer. He was appointed the Buffalo RED (Right Execution Daily) Champion monitoring and improving trade execution in Large and Small Retail Stores. In recognition of his accomplishments, his project was extended throughout the 2012-13 school year. Mark assumed an AOM account manager role this past June.

The second campus hire is Bethany Sickler, another intern as well. Bethany's project focused on developing content and improving the social media platform in Buffalo. She focused on integrating social media programs with such prestige customers as the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bandits, Darien Lake, and the Buffalo Bisons. Bethany was appointed a Business Development Representative Youth Market role in June as well.

Luke Nuttle will also be joining sales as an AOM Account Manager focusing on the Value Segment. Luke was the Assistant Advertising Manager at the State University of New York at Buffalo's newspaper, the Spectrum. In addition to this Luke served as the President of the American Marketing Association.

In continuing our program this year, Ben Katz was hired to assume the Summer Intern RED role that Mark Manganaro is leaving. Ben has spent the past two summers as a seasonal merchandiser and is a Junior in the School of Management with a focus on Finance/Accounting. The Buffalo team is committed to developing talent and providing opportunities for leaders in the organization through their campus development program.
